WE moved to Englewood when we retired 13 years ago. It is a lovely place in general , but so much building of homes going on seems to be ruining the town's character.

Really left so much out. I played cards with Mr Platt. And lived here thirty yrs The post office didn't move until 90's. That's just 1. Yale was main st. With Army Chapel on cedar and yale.thats 2 that the barracks were at the end of Cedar st. And officer quarters were in Cedar st as well. . really. Or how manasota Rd went all the way to Venice.3. wow left so much out.

I grew up in a Englewood in the 70’s, it was a wonderful place to grow up!

It looks nice in the new spot. hopefully this second move is its last. I went there to chrch with my Uncle Duane every Sunday when I was little more than a toddler, up until i was about 5 years old.

This is a wonderful accomplishment to preserve an historic church in a small Florida community.
